Project Together

The goal of Project Together is to assist providers, families and individuals in accepting and adopting the philosophy that all children should have the same opportunities and experiences within their communities. We accomplish this goal by:

  • Expanding community-based recreational and social experiences
  • Developing peer support networks called Pit Crews
  • Educating parents
  • Training and technical assistance

Our Inclusion Coordinator can provide training for staff members and volunteers, assist with program adaptations, and provide support materials. As providers become involved with Project Together, more opportunities are available to families.

The interests of each individual drive Project Together. For example, if an individual loves to look at photos, a photography class or scrapbooking club could be an option. The Inclusion Coordinator meets with the family to discuss interests and the level of support that may be needed to participate in the activity.

Currently, there is no fee for this service, only a willingness to think outside the box.  If you would like to help with this project or know a provider that should be on our list, contact Janiece Seldomridge at 717-299-4829 or janiece@sjunesmith.com.
